i havnt looked it up, family member just told me, so it must b true lol

They are going to the same setup as the TZB, all electronic. My brother said the same thing all worried about getting ezpass. Funny stuff!

I went through on Monday going to Manchester- Yes,No more Booths-
As I have an EZPass- I Still don't like they don't give people an option.
Theres still thousands of people that prefer to pay cash at a booth, And Certainly Don't want a "bill" in the Mail.(Yes,there are signs posted stating they will happily "Bill" you)
How can you determine if this "Bill" in the mail is accurate? Who Needs that added stress?
I Bet they Lose a handful of motorists due to this..... they Don't even ask the Motoring Public how they feel- Just Go and do things without We,The People" insights, Paying their roadways. -
Actually may fav was Texas. Drove down US 69/75, from OK going to Ft. Worth. Took the tollway (121 I think) that has photo billing. Never got a bill. My father-in-law did get a bill at the Florida turnpike with an added $5 billing fee.
As for losing motorist, probably not, at least not many My guess is people that use the route regularly will already have the ez pass, and people that don't will not know until they are already on the road. -
i only go there in a truck because i get paid to, im not about to pay to go to mass lol

It's been that way for a bit now, but it still sucks to drive through, after all it is Massachusetts.
I get a kick out of the signs that say, "no EZ pass? Don't worry, we'll send you a bill." I bet they will with attached fees and charges to go with it.KillingTime Thanks this. -
There are 3 different rates they charge on the mass pike now there is an ez pass rate, a massachusetts ez pass rate, and a pay by plate rate.also if you check your ez pass statement you will see that some of the exit to exit rates have increased compared to the old system.
-
In MD they add $15 to the toll rate when you get the bill in the mail.

The booths were decommissioned on October 29th,2016,when the toll gantries went "live". MassDOT is still demolishing them all along the Mass Pike. If you don't have an EZPass transponder they will bill you (the gantries photograph your license plate) . However what they don't tell people is that on the "bill by plate" method MassDOT adds a $3.00 "service fee" for every toll gantry you go thru ON TOP OF THE TOLL ITSELF!! Since the booths were decommissioned I haven't driven down the Mass Pike in my personal car since , as my car doesn't have a EZPass transponder. I have to park my truck in Springfield when I go on home time but now with the Pike being no cash, I take the long way home(I-91 north to Greenfield then Route 2 east to Fitchburg).
