To each their own, but after 20 years in this industry, I'd gladly take an auto if offered to me. Especially after my ordeal on I-83 southbound this past Tuesday after the state police shooting right on the freeway. It took over 3 hours to go 6 miles. My left leg and right shoulder were a bit sore the next day after that ordeal. An auto would have made life just a bit more tolerable that afternoon.

Here's what happened for anyone curious...

I'm glad now that I didn't pursue the job after they contacted me. I got in with another private fleet. Ill be getting 25 pto days my first year and goes up every year till maxed out at 45. 1 week a year pto and only 34 hrs home a week is no way to live. I do like ashley trucks though . they look sharp.

I mean, you're right but thats better than 2/3's of the OTR industry... rather take a 34 than to be out for 2 weeks and home for 48 hours...

Well idk what they are looking for. 5 and a half years safe driving, no tickets, no accidents. Rejected. Didn't even get a interview, applied a couple years ago and at least got interviewed

How many jobs have you had in the last few years? They look at that big time.

Maybe your interview a couple years didn't go so well and they keep good notes. Just sayin'.

Yeah that's pretty much it.. Tad bit less or more but you should definitely gross $85K. I'm out of a drop lot but we're paid day pay and I would of grossed 82 for the whole year based on average.

You'll get in and out of Leesport once or twice of week if they don't assign you to a drop lot for the week. So you might could get home for a 10 hr break during the middle of the week, then go back out and be home Friday/Saturday, go back out Sunday/Monday...

Pretty good gig, would be even better if the brain trust in Arcadia would improve on some things. For one, pay those guys in Leesport more, two have a better dispatch/planning model
