    That's why it's important to watch for other signs as well... freezing on the windshield? Time to stop.

    An icy backside to the mirror, is my cue to peter down. I take it easy in #### weather anyway... I'm not a Georgian, Floridian or Southern Texan in my first winter. We've had some practice where it concerns putting cars in ditches... Lol. Haven't done that in years; not doing it in a semi.

    Pintlehook, Big Don and lilillill Thank this.

    I lived in Michigan for 42 years before moving to southern Alabama, so I'm no newbie on snow and ice either.

    Frankly though, the thousands of complete ####ing morons out there, who don't have the sense god gave a snail, scare the #### out of me. There's been way too many winter pileups involving 40 or 50 trucks in the last few years... I don't feel like playing in the snow anymore.

    Good point. I'm confident in my abilities, it's all of the ignoramuses that I share the road with that concern and scare the bejesus out of me.

    I respect any creature that functions and survives on Pribram's 4 F's alone as an instinctual, evolutionary drive.
    Fight, Flee, Feed and F.... Get naked.

    Your common cow is much more intelligent than the average human. Wonderful creatures.

    Sheesh, There was a time I could have said the same thing. That was before that gust of wind caught my single screw and pup. On ice. Obviously, I was too #$%^ stupid, and was driving too fast for conditions...:oops:

    Not only are they more intelligent, they TASTE BETTER!:p
    Did I really post that?:confused::eek::rolleyes::D

    They were pre treating yesterday on 95 in MD. I dropped in Sterling VA yesterday and went to the house and stayed the night (hour north of Baltimore). Woke up and ice was dripping from anything outside. From the looks of that it had to of been rain to freezing rain through the wee hours. That first little rain more than likely washed the pre treatment away. Like a few have said...from the south side of the tunnel and a mile or two portion on the north side the highway is elevated which makes for a skating rink in a hurry! Sad situation.

    I'll grant you an extenuating circumstance on this one, Don.
