When I read about the serious cold up north I shouldn't complain about taking 2 hours to go 30 miles yesterday on I-10 in CA because of a lane closure. On Thursday I lost 45 minutes to the same closure.

What I am seriously upset about is the idiot at Duncan who didn't renew the RFID chip on my truck. I spent 2 hours in line so I could be one of the first trucks in on Saturday morning only to be turned away because of my RFID. Then it took the dimbulb Saturday morning dispatchers more than 2 hours to find me a load home.

And about -8 here in Hudson, WI.

I hate it, but I've got a 0400 delivery tomorrow morning at a Big Lots store. A live unload that I do not have to help with. That's the good part.
Another good part is that I just got some good news from the customer. The roads are good and the dock area has been plowed.

A better part is that it is my home time load.
I'll be heading to IGH terminal to park my truck. Hopefully to add some stuff to the fuel and fill up so my fuel is good when I return. My sister will pick me up and drop me off.

She ordered a big fresh turkey (22-25 pounds), and I will be cooking a big dinner on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to that. It will be my combo Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner.

I'm also getting a new computer while I'm there.
Another HP Envy, but this time with a 7th gen I7 with all the bells and whistles.
My (old) Skylake HP is going to my nephew so he can have a nice laptop to play around with.

    FerrissWheel and scottied67 Thank this.

I'll take the snow and ice over the traffic.

2 degrees in oak Grove MO.

I still rembered when Voodoo made that laptop. I will say HP actually kept it halfway up to standard. Much as you can keep what was a hand built and machined laptop up too standard via mass manufacture. (I still build my machines, but laptop hardware is not so easily interchangeable (I once had a voodoo envy) geek stuff.)

Well I'm home in Burnsville, MN for a few days.

My sister got a 24 pound turkey for tomorrow nights dinner, and I can't wait for morning to get it cooking.
And I got my new computer today. I like it, except for the hard drive. I've been so used to a SSD that this 7200 RPM drive seems way too slow. That is my next project.

Fortunately, that is easily remedied these days. The SSD that is.

    I'm In Olive Branch MS. Flying J. It's a practically burning hot 27 degrees. I'm doing a 34.

Reminds me, must send partner to butcher before I get home this time.

Nice delivery to a job site today. Halfway done un doing the straps (they start disappearing.) , the crew starts pulling them off from the other side and putting all my gear near my frame box. Ninja construction crew I swear. Whole affair took 35 minutes.
