Wait a minute. I was just trying to do that last week but my dang AT&T phone couldn't keep a signal for the life of me! :biggrin_25512: You must be one of those fancy shmancy Verizon people.

Glad your experience in OTR driving has been a positive one, as it has for me. So much negativity on these boards, it's nice to read a success story here and there.

Another perk...I'm taking a vacation with some friends in Las Vegas early March. Instead of spending the $800 for a plane ticket like my friends, I'll be paid to drive there. I'm not using a single day of vacation time either...that's my "home" for the weekend!

When I am in Vegas I stay at the Wild Wild West Motel/Casino. Rooms are very nice and its on Tropicana Blvd. Free Truck parking and walking distance to Las Vegas Blvd. commonly known as the Strip. Who knows, you just might get lucky and Hit the Jackpot!

Sad thing about that Casino is they put a Denny's in that place and closed the restaurant that was there.

Whats up guys. Haven't been here in a long time because of personal and health reasons. But I am good to go and starting to research for a truckin company again.
To Revslev. Prime is a good company with nice equipment and first-class headquarters. It's like being in a country club. I know you are anxious to train, so good luck to you. I was not able to stick it out when I was there last year. Me and my
trainer got along very well, however I don't think I would have passed my cdl test
based on the amount of time I had to do actual training. I did alot of taking my turn
driving the 10-hr shifts but never could get adequate training. You know, the
basics like backing, driving on major streets, inspections. Everything that I would
need to know to get on that Prime lot and pass my CDL. Both of us were pretty
tired after pulling into those truck stops. We did a run from MO to CA. I got a lot
of interstate practice though and my trainer trusted me enough with driving the
truck that he was even able to get in the sleeper and not have to worry about
the truck going off the road. I even did most of the night driving even though I
don't think Prime approves of that. But, my main concern was staying there and
not getting enough training to pass my CDL. Also they give you seven days to
decide if the lifestyle is really what you want before you are obligated to pay for
some of the cost of the training. I did not want to owe anything and not have a
CDL license. Thats the only reason I left. Also it seems they don't forget
you either as it's been almost a year since I was there, and I received two letters
from Prime inviting me to come back and hook up with my last FM. I am still
interested in trucking so i'm going to once again check out my options.

    one37 Thanks this.
