I went to Roadmaster in Millington TN . I loved the staff there. My only suggestion would be to get your cdl before going and have 3 weeks of skills work vs 1 week preparing for permit and 2 llearningskills and driving.
And if you're going to be the type to hide behind others when it's your time drive then blame yourself and nobody else.

I used RM in Jax. Great people. They charged me $4500 because I financed it on a credit card. Saved $3000 if they financed me. Good luck. Its a different world out here.

I am starting Roadmaster in Fontana, CA on Monday 12/26. I went back and forth about going to a company that would pay for training and work for them for 6-9 months. I didn't find one that was highly recommended. I know most companies look for 6mos - 2yrs experience but I'm optimistic I will find something. I'm fortunate the VA pays for all of training and out of pocket expenses except for when it comes to the DMV.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
@southwest_bs - Welcome to trucking; it's a great career. Make sure you get the hazmat endorsement because it can be used for most types of trucking including refrigerated.
There's probably a couple dozen companies to choose from, so don't take the first offer.
Roadmaster is owned by Werner, so the instructors will probably push Werner the most.
Will you live in Southern California after graduation?
