Does this Fedex Ground tracking route seems ok?

Yup. Packages get transported out of the ground facility at night. It might leave NJ in a team truck and get to FL next day. Longest part is picking up from shipper and getting it to the sort facility then finding a truck headed that way!

Only the regions hubs will run a sort constantly every 3 hours.

The satellite sort facilities generally only sort twice a day. Called twilight and day.

A lot of delays comes from the shipper if it isn't a big customer to fedex, they sometime forget a lot to notify fedex of a package. Where as with some of our bigger customers that are shipping constantly. We leave a trailer at their facility and pick it up every night before the twilight sort. Doesn't matter if there is 1 package on it. Walmart loves to fill out 53' trailers with 1 pallet or even just 1 package, but we still grab the trailer and give them a new empty every night.

With fedex. Nothing moves during the day out of a sort facilties unless it's bein b delivered. All transit between facilities is done by line haul at night. That's why things will seem delayed.

Especially if a customer delays the spot driver from getting back before the next sort. If they miss the sort, they don't wait. Line hauls trailers get closed and that package has to wait until the next sort and the next night for line haul. Can't have one customer delaying 1000 other peoples packages.

I usually have my stuff flown to memphis or little rock. Take Newegg computer parts. If I paid a couple dollars for a computer part, it is on the plane monday night in City of Industry LA or on a back of a truck out of memphis and in little rock same day at my door in 17 hours next day. Or out of jersey on a plane that night into either rock or mem.

I once ordered a set of RAM sticks paid nothing. Learned it left City of industry in the height of summer across the desert. Then it sat 4 days over a weekend and another 5 to my door. The sticks did ok. They are still in the drawer... but I don't rely on them considering how hot those trailers might have gotten. The computers operate at or near temperatures at which the actual material that makes up certain parts can thermally fail in a few seconds if not provided cooling.

I used to run an account that did that. I would always just take the box from the trailer and just put it in my empty so I wouldn't have to drop n hook. It just didn't make sense but the customer would complain that trailer wouldn't get picked up. We lost that account to ups I guess they wanted me to switch them out. Lol
