If you haul freight from CA to CA, you will need a CA number.
RavenRabbit Thanks this. -
So if i pick up and deliver in same state?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
You will need IFTA for Nevada to cross back into Nevada. Also US DOT number to cross outside home state lines, and California permit. Why not just do apportioned plates? Are you CARB legal for Cali ?

If you plan on say picking up a load in Sacramento and delivering it in LA you will need a Cali number. Cali is one of the states that require you have there number if you plan on hauling intrastate in there state. But as stated above you will need a carb compliant truckRavenRabbit Thanks this.

Ok, got it. Yeah i have my own authority ifta and apportioned plates. It was just that i had talked to so many people about the ca# and they all had contradicting answers. I figured it was intrastate. Thank you

Sorry Still figuring out this reply stuff. Anyway yeah the truck is a DEF truck. I have a US dot and mc # working on my New Mexico permit and Oregon. Was unsure if I needed a CA permit or Number.
Pnwtrucker Thanks this.
