I got a interview with mission petroleum here in Houston TX, they won't really discuss the pay, I was told they pay hourly but based on performance? Does anyone know if this company pays well? I'm going for fuel tanker. I know coastal pays about $46 per load then goes up as millage increases, TTE pays $44 then goes up 2 dollars for every 5 miles or so, sun coast pays $19-21 an hour, petroleum express pays percentage and load pay which pretty much comes out to $43 minimum load... Can someone break down mission fuel pay for me?

I have a friend driving for Mission here in DFW... Their pay structure sounded intriguing at first, but appears to be no better or worse than any of the pay by load carriers around here
He says they have a base pay, $15 an hour I believe, with an hourly bonus based on what the truck makes per hour.. Anywhere from $0-$9 added to your base (with ot)
So you are hourly, but traffic, rack time and crappy loads still cost you money..... He says if he can pull 5 loads a day all week, the money is good.. But often times, his loads are so spread out that he's lucky to get 4.. And if he's really lucky, he'll get 6 on the weekends to even it out....... That's pretty much the exact same boat I'm in being paid by the load -
I worked for Mission back in 2012. We were on Percentage, 25% of the load! Have they changed to hourly?

Has anyone been recently hired on with mission petroleum carriers at the Caldwell Tx terminal and can give me details on how management is and if the pay is good and your schedule? Applied today and just curious. Either way hoping I get called in for an interview.
