I only lasted 3 months on my second time with SNI. Screw them, you'll be fine. There is so much more out there for you. Trucking is a great career. The toughest part is finding a company that is a good match for you.
I wish you the best and keep on posting here. Soon there will more people posting that don't work for SNI anymore, than those the do lolWaggledaddy Thanks this. -
Checked out their page it says minimum of one year experience? Do you think the 6 months I have plus my 5 months of schooling will do? I'll apply anyway. Worst they can say is no!
-
If I do lease it would be with this small company affiliated with my wife's company. We've talked briefly with them about it. Just not quite sure I'm ready yet.

central transport will take 6 months for linehaul. ltl is better money than otr. and home daily.

Looks like they've been finally upgrading their fleet too. I see alot of new KW's and M2's coming out of Secaucus NJ.

I applied there. It looks like their line haul at least out of where I am is a night position. I'm not seriously opposed to running nights. The only reason I ran how I did with Schneider up at 0400 on the road at 0500 was for parking purposes. I'm usually a night owl anyway. My house is empty minus the dogs during the day. So sleep shouldn't be an issue. I'm also looking at Empire Express out of Memphis. Anyone know anything about them? The pay sounds good to start. They have only Petes and KW their site says. I've always thought that a company that would spend extra on nicer equipment would be better? But that could be wrong if course.

I wouldnt worry about that right now. CRE has Star cars now. Don't let the shiny paint fool ya.
Seems like most linehaul gigs, you'll be starting at night for the first few years at least. You'll be amazed at how much stress gets wiped off the table driving nights regularly. You might even catch yourself smiling every now and then when you realize you haven't had to say WTF all night. I know I do.Crusader66, 91B20H8 and Waggledaddy Thank this.
