Update: I quit August 2015. I would not recommend anyone work for this company. A very good company was turned into a big huge #### hole in a very short time. But don't take my word for it. Go to work for them and suffer. If you want to work for a Roadrunner company try A&A Express. I did and I can say they are 1000 times better then Bruenger. That is until Roadrunner screws them up too. Roadrunner has a tendency to destroy good companies.

Rusty Trawler and Joetro Thank this.

I havent had any problem out of them. They treated me just fine. The freight was good and i always communicated with them. As some may know or maynot know that is the way you have to be out here. Communicate with your broker and everything will be okay.

I dont see anything wrong with them. I was with them for some time but had family issues so had to let it go. So now im going back to them. I think it will be okay. The problem with driver is they turn down loads and expect dispatch to go hunting for them when they can go hunting them selfs. All they got to do is get some brokers numbers and start doing your own thing yoy just have to let them know. But when i was there. It wasnt bad. You just have to manage things. They knew me by name not truck number.

They were good until the beginning of November when Roadrunner started bringing their own people in to run the office.
I'm on a dedicated...well, account now but it used to be a dedicated run. I used to pull the same route 4 days a week and then picked up a 5th from another route. The customer was happy, the drivers were happy, no complaints.
Then Roadrunner brought their people in and handed the account over to one of them. That person decided that it would just be a dedicated account, not dedicated routes.
In very short order, we are in trouble with the customer - loads aren't all covered, loads are late, their people are having to spend extra time with a constant flow of new drivers who haven't pulled for them before to make sure they know the requirements, customer isn't getting check calls, new and pass through drivers aren't calling in door assignments. Customer says that when they voice their complaints that they are treated rudely and abruptly and that it seems like any time they voice a complaint, things just get worse.
I'd say I'd have to believe them on the last part because I'm a rather outspoken person and when I have voiced MY complaints...well, like I said, I was pulling 5 loads a week. Last week it was 3 loads and I let them know yesterday that I'm not happy about it. I had a preplan which I ran...but now I've been sitting here since yesterday and *crickets*....no load, no offers, nothing.
This new crew also is, shall we say, not the sharpest crayons in the box. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, they pulled my Thanksgiving day load off of me....to go take an alcohol test on Thanksgiving Day at a place that was going to be closed that day. This was after three weeks of them saying I needed to get tested, me telling them to set it up and tell me when/where...because I can't set it up myself, and them not doing it.
They constantly tell you to use your Rand for communication but, when you do, they are STILL calling you to get the same information you already put in on the Rand.
    Their communication skills sincerely suck.
When they put the Rands in our trucks, we O/O were given an addendum to sign. The situation was that they were charging two separate deposits...one for the tablet and another for the hospot box that provides the Internet connection for the Rand system. Well, I read stuff before I sign it and I especially read it because I had my own tablet and only needed the Hotspot box..so would only be paying the one deposit. I read through the addendum and it says NOTHING about the deposit for the Hotspot box...only for the tablet. I should have just kept my mouth shut and hung them out to dry for unauthorized deductions the second they deducted the deposit from my settlement. Instead, being an honest person, I pointed this flaw out to them and told them that I wasn't signing it until it was corrected. This obvious legal problem with their addendum took a three hour fight for them to finally correct because nobody seemed to know what the heck was wrong or how to fix it. It was ridiculous.
So, yes, they are a hot mess and going downhill fast. I'm in the process of looking for another carrier to work for.

I live in a small town where it drops to 30mph right before you go under tracks. I slowed to 30 and one of the young drivers of this company was so close to me and my wife on my bike that it seemed she could of reached back and touched his grill. Wished I had some marbles with me that day.

I loved working for Butch and Diane. I figured Roadrunner would do this the company. My friend in safety who is like a sister to me just got laid off from there.

All operations are being moved to Omaha. I am with @bgann. Stay away from there. Everything will become R&M now. RIP M. Bruenger. It was great while it lasted.

Yeah...it's scary. If you go look up reviews on Roadrunner, they are all from 1.7 to 2.8 out of 5 stars.
I think I'm going to go talk to the Teamsters about a job....
