I hate these lawyer written things.............have to read and re-read to understand.........
That is actually not completely what is states......
********************************************************
Two or more serious traffic violations within a 3-year period. These include excessive speeding, reckless driving, improper or erratic lane changes, following the vehicle ahead too closely, and traffic offenses in connection with fatal traffic accidents 90 days to 5 years.

The key aspect for this discussion I blieve would be(serious) ......excessive speeding, reckless driving etc.
If these apply than Yes I would agree..........With out knowing at this time all aspects hard to say......
Get all the information you can to make your decission........can't make a good one without all the right/pertinant answers.......

Why does there need to be a "rule" against collecting traffic citations?

Don't collect citations and be worry free.

I second the above statement. Drive the forklift, you will get to spend time with your family and still make good money. You don't have to give up the CDL to drive a forklift.

Post the part where you're reading this if you would. There is NO federal law that pertains to how many offenses a CDL holder can have other then if that holder has two of the "biggies" in a three year period.
Oh yeah... & as long as you still have a point or two left.Last edited: Sep 17, 2008

What do you want to do?This is a decision only you could make and any advise given here is pointless and will only point out what you already know.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. Some states have the "at will" policy that means they can fire you for good cause, bad cause, or no cause at all. Seach the "at will" states and you'll find all your corrections.
-
I know WI is a at will state, When I was let go,..I asked my boss why??? and his answer was he didn't know, it came from upstairs...
Of course this was on my 10 year seniority date, when I was gonna get a raise and hit 4 weeks vacation....HMMMMMMMMM, wonder why I was let go??
It might be that the driver in the seat now makes less money and has little vacation coming... -
Well I look at it this way, you are 1 away from being let go pretty much.. I would take the $20 an hour..
The part where they are supposed to notify you blah blah blah it not going to fly.. Large companies have money and you don't so you would never win unless it was a class action. -
It costs more to hire and train a new driver than what you are talking about them saving with your raise and vacation, so there was more to it than that!
