Elog......maybe not

I can see your point there. When I was looking at it some I wondered the same thing to myself. I wasn't aware of just how strict elogs cut you in and out as some others have said.

elogs and hos have nothing to do with safety . if they did they wouldn't penalize you for stopping when your tired and take a nap..if you do you clock is still ticking for the day so the nap you need to drive safely could cost you to be a day late. so you either drive tired and possibly wreck or take a nap that you desperately need. you can turn on the news and see which one most mega company drivers are forced to choice... im sure half congress will be getting a chunk of the elog money . how can tthey say it will save money over $5 a month for paper or $40 or more a month for elog plus up front equipment cost? someone getting a kick back...

 

Again more information of how the system actually works I was not aware of. Thank you. This is the kind of thing I was looking for when I asked.

My comments about tech weren't to say one was better then the other, simply that I enjoy a simpler electronic option over paper. Not necessarily the rules behind them. I thought I made that clear in that post. Perhaps I didn't.

And yes I expressed an opinion. So far I'm wrong, from the responses so far. Not that I would expect anyone to agree with what my opinion was lol. But still, I said it, I own it, I'll accept being proven wrong.

Not only did you express an opinion you stated a fact about something you know absolutely NOTHING about. You stated you know when we cheat on logs. How could you possibly know that? You aren't a driver. We will shift our waiting time over to driving time. Wonderful. How do I add 4 more hours of driving time when I have already used 9 of them and can only drive for 11 total? "Not being a driver id there something I am missing here? Yes. You made a statement about something you know nothing about and you don't want to respect the responses.

That's right. You asked! And now you don't want to listen to those who know. I could go on for a long time for I can see that you can't be educated. If all this sounds a little ugly to anybody get over yourself. Some of us are tired of being pushed around, abused, and ignored. I'm out.

 

Here Here.... We have more oversight than a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or lawyer. Yes they have a lot of rules and regulations to follow but they do not have someone crawling up their ### on a daily basis. They are not subject to the possibility of daily random inspections.
