As boxcar said if you have too much caster it can make steering heavy at low speed. It'll also make it very stable going down the road. If the column you put in is the old style one that pivots down low by the dash they were known for rattling and bouncing with bumps once they had some miles on them. Sometimes you wondered if they were attached to the front wheels lol. IIRC that was why they went to the style that pivots up higher by the wheel. Does yours have the the telescope feature where you turn the horn button assembly and pull up on the wheel?

Oh really didn't know that no mine has a lever I believe mine was off a 98 truck ....

A rattle in the steering column on some KWs is very common. It can be caused by only a little wear in the steering u-joints.

Replacing that ujoint is possible ?
