THANK YOU. I was about to give him both barrels. You saved me the trouble with a better quality post.
Getting a Trucking company dispatcher to say yes they made a mess and a boo boo of your precious logs and yes they can fix it invites a firestorm, the earth will have to stop rotating on it's axis before any dispatch will utter those words. Heaven would be silent a hour if that ever happened.

There is nothing in that section that says a driver can't be fined or placed OOS. What this section means is once you hit 3 hours the violation is considered more serious.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Bottom line for @Thull is...
Don't worry about it. If Schneider calls you in for a safety review, explain it. Otherwise, avoid going over your hours in the future, and soon the violation will disappear from your e-logs and any future DOT inspection won't see it. -
Lepton1 Thanks this.

The last company I drove for used paper logs. When you needed a new log book or scan sheet you had to go to safety. They would pull up your logs. If there was an issue you were cautioned right there.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Im writing this in a light heart teasing. The words do not convey that very well I don't know how to express the thought that there are mountains of Paper Logs for you to buy at .85 cents in fine truckstops everywhere.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

However I in cab scanned. All I had to do was print out a scan sheet from a blank one I had as a pdf. I still went by safety because I liked the coffee and got caught up on the company gossip.

To me going into Safety is like to be Daniel presented to the Lions Den.... I take in a great amount of air to prepare for yelling that must happen....Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I want to add something else. I alluded to in an earlier post. Stay in general OTR trucking long enough your going to bust either the 14 or 11 hour clock. With the parking situation being what it is and many companies scheduling later and later pickups and deliveries it becomes a serious issue. I know as a reefer pusher I had problems with food warehouses killing my 14. Safety depts understand this for the most part and don't get too excited if it is not done very often. I once left a place with about 30 minutes left on my 14, I found a small convenience store just up the road. I stopped and asked if I could do a break there and was told yes once I told the owner my situation. Bottom line is this. Once those clocks expire it is on YOU to get stopped in a safe place ASAP.
