I tried to ingate a 40' st Hanjin empty into lot 16 Elwood yesterday. Yard workers wouldn't accept it being a blue Hajin box, even though I told them it is a Cosco box.

I then ingated at the main yard and proceeded to get it lifted off at lot 4 Cosco stacks.

I imagine Cosco purchased Hanjin equipment at pennies on the dollar.

Yea Haijin was persona non grata at shipyards, there were about a hundred and change of their ships filled and empty rotting off shore for weeks or months becuase the company was kaput.

If Costco bought em then they are moving up in the world.

It was interesting to me because I buy small hobby stuff now and then and some of it was embargoed inside Haijin boxes off shore on salt water probably to this day. Im not sure if I want to spend the money now considering it's effects on the computers inside these things.

Is lot 16 the one on the left before you reach the main gate on the west side of the street?

I don't know. Those marine containers are pretty air tight. Not too much salt air will get to that product. It's also the fear of the burning sun if the box sits on the top of the stack. Among other things.

Model railroading have engines that are driven by computer and the tolerances plus standards that are put into them things are pretty light against corrosion and abuse. I did not purchase much all of 2016 and already looking at spring 2017 before making any more purchasing to try and clear out the embargoed inventory from the email notices sent by the various makers who are also waiting on the product to do the pre-orders.

Yes. They take empty 40's on wheels in that lot. I think that is the south side of the road.
