Once i get credit cards paid off, and get my pickup fixed i will be leaving my job to attend school in my home state of north carolina for 8 weeks. Schneider, Cargo Transporters and Celadon do orientation in north carolina. Asking for Advice here, Which one is the best, i understand the Ads online and in papers are to get drivers in the doors and i dont want to accept school payment from a company i dont want to stay with. I would like to Run OTR without going North East ( i know right) Is it possible for a Company Driver to Say where they want to go and where they dont want to go? I would Like an Inverter for a Small Cooler/Fridge and maybe even a Small Tv for a Gaming Console. But isnt a DealBreaker, i can always use a plug in cooler for my food. Home time isnt a concern im single , no kids ,etc. All im worried about right now at the ripe age of 22 is making money. Would eventually like to get into Owner/Operator.

Well after more research Cargo Transporters looks better. but what does pay on randy mcnally PRACTICAL MILES mean? i want to get paid for every mile that truck moves.
- Mileage Based on Rand McNally PRACTICAL MILES
-
Practical is zip code to zip code to zip code miles. Hardly any companies pay actual miles.
KillingTime Thanks this. -
Very rare to get paid every mile she moves as a greenie. Thats called hub miles, and paying hub is pretty rare.
At least its not household goods miles. You lose about 10% mileage on those.
Practical miles are close enough. Think zipcode to zipcode.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
