I know, that's because leaking oil pan gaskets don't count.

I have a 2017 peterbilt with 265 wheelbase. I pull 53ft utility reefer trailer. I live in canada and run 10 provinces 48 states and buy yearly permits everywhere to be legal. Bc $30 every 3 months. Ab $15 a year for blanket. Sk permit is free for yearly. Mb is $20 a year. And so on across canada. As long as your under 267 wheelbase and under 75ft your legal with 53ft trailer. Centre of my tandems cant be further back them 39ft 8 inches on my trailer. In canada the longer the wheelbase of tractor over 244 the shorter the the distance from kingpin to trailer tandem. I live here in canada and operate over 244 so i know the regulations

Now come on Sir, We had some good food, women and song in Ontario. IN my time the exchange rate was equal to a instant 35% Pay raise to us in terms of the American Dollar. Eventually it became one to one. And no economic reason to work in Ontario.

You can run a 10' 1" spread in Alberta .
But they reduce the axle weights,so it's not practical unless you have light loads.
I don't remember the exact numbers.

This is the problem with arguing or insinuating incorrect information when you resurrect a 5-6 year old thread.
Highway traffic act Schedule 1 for regular 18 wheelers or fixed tridem trailers from 2011, max wheel base is in fact 6.2m, or 244 inches.

Highway traffic act Schedule 1 for regular 18 wheelers or fixed tridem trailers from Nov 2016, max wheel base is now 7.2m, or 283 inches. Maximum over all truck/trailer length has not changed.
    https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/050413#BK40

The highway traffic act has been revised 6 times since this thread was made. In fact, the change from 6.2m to 7.2 takes place in the July 2012 revision.

The 6.2m or 244 inch wheel base max length still applies for other trailer types and axle configurations, so 7.2m does not apply to all trucks either. Schedual 2, for example which is a very common set up.

I would say probably not as you are exceeding both the tractor wheelbase and overall length limits (Alberta Regulation Summary). Usually you can permit one or the other, but not both. However, you can try contacting one of the scales or enforcement offices and ask; I would try either Coutts or Balzac (Alberta Commercial Vehicle Enforcement).

I see in some of your other posts that you were going to install a lift axle on a single drive-axle tractor. If that is the tractor you are referring to here, you will not be able to use the lift axle.
