a grade 8 bolt on that top plate is much stronger and you can crank it down tighter and not snap that cheap one it comes with...

Not to concerned with any mount at the moment..Dipole deal seems to be a not so great plan as per two others that know more than 98% of the people here..So guess im gonna try my 7ft with my wilson mount and see..Dont know why it didnt work with my ss mount..

Nope..My guess is the mount which dont make sence..
A 7ft/5 ft/4ft ant wouldnt tune for me and the only common item was the mount..
1 of hard drives studs on my 10k and now that im thinkin i might have used a wilson hd stud trying to tune ...Hhhmmm..Next trip home ill tey again with hard drives stud (for sure this time)on the wilson cascadia ant mirror mount..Seems i tried my 10k on that mount with little sucess but it was ages ago...Longest shaft i have is a 22" for that and im not gonna be heating the ground with a 45 deg angle either..

Well I'm sure you've seen my pictures. I've used that set up on no telling how many year models and individual trucks. It hasn't failed me yet. I get very little variation on SWR between trucks and they all seem to perform about equal.

Mike..I have looked at a billion pictures for ideas..Not sure whats yours..
Wasnt one of yours in a red cascadia with a 7ft dipole set up..
Put the 7 on mine and went for a drive to get an open area to try and tune it alone..Lord have mercy that thing swayed...Even had well water hard(not solid)plastic tubing on the 1st 3ft of it..Didnt go much faster than 40 mph to get to my spot...If i use it,definately gonna need that solid black plastic pipe on it..

Oh yeah, saw the pic before...Im gonna see what i can do when i get home in a few days unless i get turned around for a usa run..
I have that wilson mount and stud,i also have a ss mount.that allows to angle the ant to change..Just gotta loosen the bolts..Also have Another of marks coax and 2 of his studs..So i got enough to make comparisons to see..
