I wasnt given any details as to the hows but more of tech stuff as to why its not a great idea..

 

I just put my fs meter on the electrical box on trailer nose..I parked about 2-3 tractor lengths away..With meter on higest rec and radio maxed out..Im about 95% sure the needle didnt move...So yeap my signal is like a wet noodle..

 

yeah something strange about that and the numbers your getting on your aa.....with that 7ft. skipshooter

 

Startin to wonder if my set up is better than i know but something is up with the trk..

 

It as if when signal leaves my ant it just goes poof

 

Craig just a little suggestion.

You should have someone near you with a cb key up and see if the FS meter is working.

 

It works but only when everything is turned up and im sottin in the cab..Now when i got say 10 or so feet away i did see movement but sweet eff all..Moves way more when its on the dash..

 

So i went out and pulled off the 40" tall mount..
Installed the wilson mirror arm mount and hard drives hd stud..
Pulled my 10k off the other mount but never touched anything re tryin to tune ant..
Tried a fibreglass procomm ant and it wasnt much better..
Gonna try another mount i have and i tried it before but its ss..Ill try that with the wilson hd stud and get back here in a few..

 

I cant see it makein a diff but i have 2 braded 13" straps on both door hinges(one lookes a lil rusted) but i cant see that maken a diff either way
