    I have two misdemeanors, one in 2016 and the other one in 2009. Can you help me get a job in California, Bakersfield? I can't relocate but if I have to, I have to leave a kid behind, I'm short in money. Also, hopefully rent is included while I get my CDL training. I need to get my CDL.

    Correct! They can set you up for free cdl training; probably through the WIOA Program.

    Hey both of you, thanks. Chinatown, even better you got the name of the program there, thx. I did went to a job place where they help you get jobs and they didn't want to do it, so I hope it's true what you're saying. You know what I mean or it's a waste of my own schedule. Grrr.

    WIOA Program may require you to get pre-hire from 1 or maybe 2 companies. That's no problem either. Getting a pre-hire doesn't mean you have to work there after graduation, it just means the pre-hire qualifies you for the program. Of course, don't mention this during an interview about WIOA.
    Pretty sure you can get a pre-hire from TransAm and Carolina Cargo.
    To get a pre-hire, submit an online application and check "Student". You'll get some type of notification that you will be hired contingent upon successfully completing cdl school.

    Go to the trucking company website and do the online application. It won't take but a couple days to get a return message. If they offer you a job, that's your pre-hire.
