Still a tad pointy. Not as bad as it was. I'm used to it. Other than that everything is snug, tight and feels right. Buys me time because I should get another 3 or 4 years of dependable service from this truck before I upgrade.

What brand and model tire did you have on the truck before? I have the same problem with my columbia, though I have brand new Goodyears (15K on them), brand new tie rod, brand new rims, centramatics, and still a wobble.

I had the very same problem on my '07 Columbia. Took it to T/A, and they told me my king pins and bearings needed replaced, along with new steers and three axle alignment. They gave me a price, and I said goodbye. Took the truck to a Petro in Knoxville, and they they said all I really needed was new steers and an alignment. Steers were out of round and of course out of balance. Saved me a lot of $, and the problem seems to be solved. I would get a second opinion if someone tells you that half your front end needs replaced.

    The tires were BF Goodrich.

I just can't believe anyone would trust the flunkies that pass for mechanics at TA and Petro. They can't get an oil change right.

    Hardlyevr Thanks this.

100% agree. Anything other than a PM or emergency roadside, forget it.

It's amazing what you as the o/o yourself can check with a simple floor jack or bottle jack. Raise that front end up grab a hold of things and turn the wheels or use a pry bar to see if there is any wheel bearing play, etc, etc. It's funny to see an "expert" at a Petro or T/A visually inspect a tire and think they have all the answers without even a rudimentary jack things up and have a real look see. Most of them are paid on commission anyways that's why they love changing out light bulbs for $200. They know they'll likely never see any given truck again anyways with the nature of OTR trucking and local guys avoid them like the plague. They're good for patching a tire in a pinch but not much else.

Hello guys my prostar was in a jackknife back in November last year. Since then the truck will not ride the same. I had 3 axel alignment which helped a lot replacing rear tires from re cap to new.. but still when I hit about 60mph the front end feels like it's taking off and I can't control the truck.. not as bad while bobtailing but still I can't seem to keep the truck straight could it be front tires or shocks? Had the front tires balanced they were really bad out of balance truck ran good but now it's back to the same drifting and wobbling and shaking thanks

Was the frame checked to make sure it wasn't bent?
