Alternator light flashing could come from small signal wires also it could be dash itself as long as alt is over 13.6 than don't worry to much about it

Thanks. I did have the alternator off a few weeks back. I went in their tonight and made sure they were all tight. Also I am always at the right voltage.

I just changed this part passthrough on sunday. I personaly cleansed these connections. Thank you for your response. The strange thing is the battery light only flickers when I'm driving??? At least it keeps me to worried to fall asleep as most of my work is done at night

It's clearly indicate the harness problem. Volvo use so called fused links for grounding from battery to frame. Sometimes the "fuse" got broken by vibration or corrosion it hard to notice coz "fuse " is covered with shrink tube. Pull the wire gently or wiggle close to terminal attached to the frame to check.

Okay I'll try that out I appreciate you
