As for VA waking drivers in rest area and writing tickets back Nov 1999 I had the same thing happen in a rest area at 4 AM on I-64 . I called the Washington Post newspaper they did a front page story about me with my picture that hit the newspapers across the US about the lack of truck parking, Had a friend in Washington DC hand deliver a letter to the head of the Federal DOT complaining about what VA does and a reply from FMCSA said driving when tired was very bad but VA could do anything they want.
Truth is for over 30yrs parking on the east coast has been a problem and the Feds don't really care.
Get a copy of your driving record and tell WM what is on the record, some states do no pick up tickets from other states

About medical coverage.

Obama care screwed a lot of med programs up
A friend leased to Mayflower age 64 was paying $500/mo before Obama care,, now he is paying $1100/mo with a much higher deductible, It is very hard to do comparisons of different plans,
I was an O/O and 10yrs ago I had a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan with $2K total out of pocket per year and was paying $550/mo
Many ins companies since Obama screwed it up have stop selling in some states and have upped deductibles very high, reasons are for example a friend whose wife died this past may got a bill that ins covered for over $240K for one day his wife was in the hospital. no surgery just in a intensive care room.
an other factor that might be causing higher cost is the higher pay you earn at WM
Here is something outrageous, I live 50miles from Las Vegas, helicopter medical flights from here to Las Vegas cost $45K and up,,unlike taxi cabs ambulance and medical helicopter service is unregulated and they can charge all they want, if you are conscious you can deny being transported by helicopter but if you are unconscious they can fly you and charge you,many times air evacuation is not necessary but the fire rescue will call for chopper anyway(Kick backs) Just don't get hurt in some small remote communities where the local funeral service does medical transports too,,a long trip and they make more money at your funeral

 

Thanks to all walmart drivers who contributed to this invaluable thread today i passed the pre trip and road test along with physical. So hopefully the next time i post i will get to say those 4 magic words.
