The new overspeed...

No company is perfect but Airgas is close enough for me. Good pay, paid vacation, paid sick leave, seven paid holidays a year with 2 floating holidays to be used as you wish. Weekends off home every night. Hourly pay with overtime after 8. Overtime not forced but there if you want it.

 

Do they train?

 

They don't train to get a CDL but they do hire new drivers and put them with a mentor for 2 weeks.

 

I could hardly believe they decided to increase the speed stance. But it has been a blessing to me. I have been running at 1300 rpm= 61.5 mph. That gives me a 1.5 mph cushion from overspeed alert. Where before running 60 mph would trigger that alert constantly. That alert has in the past drove me crazy.
