All companies that have more than a day orientation will house you (motel) feed you and transport you from housing to their training/orientation location.

Now if you're talking about going from your home to the academy for schooling, I would be willing to bet that they'll provide transition, with by plane it Greyhound. My 1st company flew me to their facility and back out to meet my trainer.

If you're from out of state, pass. Not that they won't get you there, they will provide a greyhound. But, there are better options. If you're from Indiana you can get the school paid for and bypass the contract.

Honestly palmer would send me from mississippi to montana via a bus. Its understandable its the cheapest option. Is celadon a good company to start with

If you get on a decent account, yes.
HOWEVER...i would suggest reading ALL the info this wonderful site has to offer on any company you are considering. Just hit the search engine with the company name.

Ok so celadon is questionable depending upon the lane ran. I guess my best options are palmer or kllm. But I'll keep looking

I would plug them all in and weigh them out. There are alot of good folks here that may pop in and give some suggestions. Make a detailed list of questions and find those answers. Leave no stone unturned... Pay, home time, equipment, cost of school, length of contract etc..

What are you looking to haul? Vans, Reefs, Flats, Tanks? That throws a lot of avenues into the mix. Going from Celadon to Jim Palmer is like apples to oranges. Just wondering. And like was said above, take a legal pad... plug in the company names, and a ruler down the middle, and write the pros and cons. If money is your issue, or the lack thereof, consider that a priority. I was in your shoes many moons ago, jsyk.
    Best wishes~ stay safe.

ps: Not "sure" .... but I think KLLM is heavy on the L/P deal. Yeah, their equip looks great... if you wanna buy and eventually fly i guess. JMHO.

Honestly my main priorities right now are good equipment, accessories such as inverters, refrigerators and the like allowed and pay. I also can't afford the cost of transportation to the training so thats a huge plus. Hometime isnt that important

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.
