If you are unsure in a backup situation...

Hey, you bumped a car. The doors of opportunity aren't going to slam shut. Keep it clean going forward, you'll be ok.

In Iowa...if a cop was called, and report filled out, regardless of fault, yes...it WILL show up.
You'll have to divulge it on the application, and hope the perspective employer gives you a chance to explain yourself....then hope they accept your explanation.
Not sure how things work in your neck of the woods.

I would check your mvr see if it's on it.But if your company uses DAC they could report it there or when other companies call for reference.1 accident depends on amount of damage not bad some companies might want to wait a year before they would hire you

You live and learn I would have got out and looked behind me but I know cars can be hidden from sight stopped at a stop sign if I didn't see him when they pulled up which It would be easy not to see them since I would've been looking left and right to go.i have had that happen and was luckier the guy making the turn told me he was back there It's experience you know now not to just back up.Now I ran Manhattan for 5years every Monday with 10 stops. So if the driver and checking his manual for what to do next sounds like he is probably a dispatcher who is bored and trying to tell you how to do it

Yep. The bus can sit there and wait until its clear. Not your problem to worry about. Being courteous is nice but as you learned, it can come back to bite you in the ###.
