Adding fuel capacity to a 379

Adding one to the driver side would give you 150 gallons...

 

Never seen a 379 with one tank, so I'm a little confused.
Seems like 1,200 lbs. of fuel (plus the weight of the tank) would make that tractor lean.

I agree with @TruckerPete1990 ....regardless of cost, add a tank where a tank should have been in the first place.

 

I believe the biggest tank for a Pete is 200 gal. 28 inch diameter.

 

Not gonna bother posting my 'source' because anyone can Google it...but thanks for trying to correct my math...turns out we are both wrong...I was going 8 lbs. per gallon.
Regardless...glad you're looking into a tank for the drivers side.

 

I'd look for tanks in junkyards. They're out there. The 200 gal ones look awesome.
You can do it yourself. Hardest part is drilling the holes in the frame.

Those old 28" tanks were cool, but that was old school, air leaf suspension and 24.5 tires. Today we have low air leaf suspension and 22.5 low pro tires. That big tank could be sitting very close to the ground.
