I'm not diggin the winter. Once a week I have a run up through PA. Every week the temp is above freezing, I find myself thanking the road gods.
If I was at my old OTR job, I'd be stuck somewhere in the Midwest with all that ice and crap. I feel sorry for all you guys out in that mess.austinmike, SHOJim and roadrunningx18 Thank this. -
this is the reply that helps a new driver keep on driving. Thank you!!!

You do realize that they are feeding on your F bombs right? Just tell your story Bro. It started off very interesting and refreshing. It's really hard to follow the story when you F bomb someone every other post.
And if I'm to be honest, you were too quick in responding to the pack rat post. Perhaps it is you whom owes an apology. If you're honest with yourself, you'll agree.d o g, SingingWolf, austinmike and 2 others Thank this. -
Well I have my own crying story this afternoon.
A) They rescheduled the Steeler game, and now I'm at work.
B) I'm fully into my diet & exercise program, but left late so only have water, an apple, and half pint of blueberries.
C) My first delivery is screwed up, so now I'm on standby to be worked in ( I'm on the clock, not free).
D) But because I have no charred animal flesh, or potato, I'm fiending for a pizza, and might get one delivered to the guard shack.
E) Left the phone charger in the car.
I can feel my PTS kicking in.akfisher, Longarm, SidewaysBentHalo and 3 others Thank this. -

Right on Bro. People rarely come here to bring a positive attitude. I look forward to hearing about your journey.
CJndaTruck and roadrunningx18 Thank this. -
My trainer is awesome: 15yrs with a mega corp, 6 mo with current gig, brings a positive training attitude from previous. Weather kept me in the co-pilot seat for nearly a week, but I got some good driving time in around that. Used some waiting for load time to build up a kitchen in the rig, and I' m so looking forward to getting out there again. Thank you swaggerjack for being supportive!
d o g, swaggerjacker and pattyj Thank this. -
One's opinion of super singles is usually something they inherited from another driver and not well-founded. I run these on my truck and there is no difference between them and when I had duals as a company driver before. Where you may have an issue is if it is one of very low rolling resistance; this same issue is present in duals of low rolling resistance. Whether it is a super single or not does not cause the traction problem; it's the rolling resistance. You will see there are different tread patterns of singles just as there are of duals. Buy the proper tire for the application and you will not have an issue. Super singles are a fantastic product and I'll never go back to duals.
bottomdumpin, akfisher, roadrunningx18 and 2 others Thank this.
