Are you serious? I ran for a company that operated Volvos (in 2015, and all fairly new) in the oilfield in Alberta and BC. All trucks were in great shape, large sleepers and big power, and the iShifts were just as effective as the 18 speeds.

Not hard to find a company that operates quality iron and maintains it. I did many brokered loads for Crazy Horse with our equipment and had zero issues with them, but have hear horror stories about how they operate.

 

That's the thing with the patch. When times are good, buy up all the iron you can, hire anyone with a pulse, make money. When it slows down, no money comes in, equipment heads to auction, companies go under.

 

Actually, there company I worked for (left due to that slowdown and sick of being in the bunk for 2-3 weeks, sometimes not getting paid to sit) still has all of their trucks and frac trailers.

Not everyone runs their business as if they are drunken roughnecks on payday.

 

We have been working at the same time. Me too couldn't buy any gifts, it was our worst holidays ever. I'm on the verge of eviction and we lost our vehicle and phone was cut off cause I wasn't the only one working there, my husband was too. And on the 15, we barely got anything. I'm so desperate I don't know what to do....

 

Dont go anywhere near that company "dlm logistics" or "crazy horse" the owner ian McClintock doesn't pay his employees!! This is the worst thing u can do to someone. He shouldn't be in business and he has the nerve to put blame on the employees for stuff he did wrong that piece of ####. I'm loosing everything right now because of him and nobody deserves that.

 

We also rented space to Ian and have yet to be paid.

 

Can you tell me Ian when we will be paid for rent you skipped out on. Said you could pay me, we trusted that you would and bounced the cheque after you told us you had to run as your wife was having a baby!!!

U must be big and scary to get away with that. Everytime I get cheated all I have to do is call and ask for my money and I end up with a phone call from the cops saying I'm harassing the guy. I've heard these crooks stand around laughing about how easy it is to not pay and then just call the cops and say you're being harassed. Truth is I've seen this way too many times, big scary looking guys seem to have have no problem getting paid. Ive been cheated so many times I'm afraid to work for anyone anymore.

 

I'm far from big and scary but yes I am very lucky he didn't call the cops on me, I didn't much care at that point.... I wouldn't suggest taking that route haha
