Hey bud, I have the same exact problem as you, were you able to find out what the problem was?
-
Getting lots of pressure in the coolant tank which triggers a STOP light in the dash for low coolant. After i open the coolant tank cap off the coolant levels out. Will appreciate any response
-
Not yet. Took truck to the shop they couldn't figure out what it was. Let me know if you find out what yours turns out to be
-
had the same problem. it turned out the expansion tank was cracked on the inside. replaced the tank and no more problem.
KB3MMX and kabusheke2004 Thank this. -
I have the exact same issue with my Volvo 2015
780 D13 .. Coolant level drops after 4k miles..
And its draining through the overflow pipe on the ground.. Help Please !! -
Did you find out what the problem was. We have the same truck doing this.
-
Yes you are spot on!! Took a while but I found this to be my solution as well. Tip came watching the compressor cycle while monitoring the coolant. Just about drove me crazy for a while (and the dealer that convinced me to let them replace the radiator, which did nothing to solve the problem).
Go for miles with no problems then stop for a short time and it would puke out a gallon of coolant, stuff like this will drive you nuts!Keepforgettingmypassword and KB3MMX Thank this. -
So was this problem fixed by replacing the expansion tank. or something else. Cause I have the same problem and thinking about R/R the Aircompressor.

Did R/R air compressor fix your problem ? I'm having to same problem of excessive air pressure in coolant tank.
