Lol! WOOOFFFF!
Had a young driver call me about a year ago, I think after he changed his pants, to tell me that the truck blew up, a third of the way up Cabbage... on Friday night......
He ended up wrapping a bungee around the hose as tight as he could, and it allowed him to pull all the way up Cabbage in first at just above idle..... and then turn around and roll down to the Kenworth dealer at the bottom, who left a couple of clamps out as they walked out the door.
That boy had trucker potential......
popped a intercooler boot clamp yesterday.

I got 4 new tubes and 8 new clamps sitting in a box on the doghouse.
My cheap hose clamp is still holding, I'm keeping boost low. I'll put the new ones in the daylight. -
Not sure how to describe the noise.
Cross between tire blowing out a shotgun blast.
Good luck. -
The first time I blew one the clamp was long gone by the time I opened the hood so I ended up using 16 gauge tie wire that I had for tying up load binders. Made my delivery and then drove 4hrs to home and it never came off

Had one come off my twin turboed dodge at around 60psi. Of course didnt know what it was at the time other then a shot gun going off and then when I rolled back into the throttle going up the 12% grade I was testing the new turbo setup on I had nothing but black smoke so I then knew what had happened.

Be interesting if someone was hooked up to EKG and EEG at that time. Let the experts see what happens to our heart and brain right before one poops their pants!
Crude Truckin', Roberts450 and Oxbow Thank this. -
