Mexican Truck drivers

i see the hate for brown truckers is alive in here too,the problem that i have with all the negative against some one just because they can speak a language is that ur judgin a person without knowin theyr background ,when someone sees me they think there goes a mexican go back and quit takin our jobs ,what they dont know is that i was born here in dallas tx my father what born here also my grand father and his father were born here also ,im as an american as anybody else i just have the advantage of speakin 2 languages and chose keep my heritage,what a shame that some people are so ignorant to see past a color of a skin.

 

Most here are talkng about Illigals.I have no problem with Mexicans I got lots of Mexican friends and they feel the same way about Illigals..If you an Mexican American or here ligaly But to be trueful not just Mexicans are here Illigaly.If anyone is here Illigaly they need to be deported.

 

I have known a lot of Mexicans. The legal very dark brown ones all seemed very nice people. I just want them to come here legally.The reasons are too many to list. You can figure it out yourself. I will say I never personally experienced racism against me until living in California. I was litterly forced to leave because of it. The culprits did their acts anonomysl. But you eventually know who they are. La Raza is not a separate distinct race. The word is missunderstood. However, I experienced & was told of their hatred of Gringos by many American born M's. Who actually are not Mexican as many have mixed blood. They are especially fond of blonde women. Some are blonde but hate whites. If you disagree with their point of view you are automatically branded a racist! They in their way have as much biased hatred like the KKK. I have met many nice people of all races there & in Florida & NY. Basically race hatred by anyone is a sign of stupidity & ignorance. The big problem is non assimilation & clinging loyalty to a foreign country & society. I worked with a man George he said he was a BROWN MAN! He took his shirt off one day due to work. I looke & said,"George I thought you said you were a brown man? Your whiter than I am!" He was not amused! I think it is funny!

 

One thing thays got people stired up is all the crime being comitted by illigals,and free schooling and Emergency room visits they can not get.

 

The part that I have trouble with is the adage " I didn't cross the border, the border crossed me"
There is a history lesson that some may have missed. There was treaty signed in 1848 between Mexico and the US that actually is a "Bill of Sale" in so many words for what is now the American Southwest.

 

All South Americans are jealous that we alone are considered American. I had a discussion about 20 years ago in California with a SA woman.She claimed to be American even though not being born here or being a citizen. Hell she was also probably illegal. It is not just Mexico. Schools give a distorted version of history to fit their nations agenda(so do ours) & we Gringos fit the bill nicely.
President Eisenhower handled this problem effectively. Yes it existed before. With fewer agents he rounded up a million illegals & put them on trains & deported them back into the middle of Mexico in less than a year! Start sending email to politicians. Join Internet organizations & send FAXs about your concerns. Go outside this forum & voice your displeasure. It adds up. Let politicians know you are watching them & will vote according to their voting record!

 

Mexico started that war, as it did with Americans it invited into Texas. Also, they attempted to sell us all of Baja California at the time they greedily sold us the American South East. They wanted to sell off all of Mexico in pieces. We followed Manifest Destiny, "From Sea to Shining Sea!"

This is an argument without solution.

English is a required subject in Mexican schools from grade 6 on through high school.

The problem is, many who study it don't have the opportunity to use it.

How many of you were forced to choose between French and say PE in grade school or junior high? And if you chose French, how many opportunities did you have to use what you thought you learned?

Many of those who use the "speak english" argument when it comes to Mexican trucks are using it as a last ditch effort to ban the trucks in this country and to this very vocal minority, nothing short of proper Oxford English will satisfy them.

I never learned a foreign language until I was in my 30's and then discovered my years of learning were behind me.

I understand a little Spanish, can read things in Spanish and can understand Spanish TV, but to carry on a conversation, forget it!

Yet I have driven and traveled all over Mexico and Central American without that being a handicap.

What's the difference in myself and a Mexican trucker?
