Lisa inflates her numbers. I worked for both KLLM and FFE on a team truck and never made the money she claims and we averaged 5400 miles a week.

The driver manager Angela Carson is the reason alot of drivers leave. She lies so much that she believes herself.

Yeah, it has gotten worse. I team as well, but the last few weeks we worked there, we couldn't even get over 3000 miles. Worked for FFE when the Stubbs owned them, but no more than six months after Duff Brothers bought them, they pushed us out of our dedicated by the dumb twit Angie. They claim mistakes, but they wanted us off the run so they could redo all the routes again. So go over to KLLM. We run good, then a tailspin of switching DM's happened and just got lost as a number. Politics suck there and now they changed the lease for teams. Fixed costs are now about 1200.00 a week for a bottom line Cascadia or Volvo. Not worth the headaches, so we are done with that whole headache and went to a reputable team company. Loads are from Georgia to Seattle, then backload to drop at the terminal mostly. Drive the two days up usually, then sit for a day or two (depends on the weekend), with company paid direct tv, then work two days back. Make about the same pay for four days of work than leasing and having to play catchup. Finally found a good team company and it's rewarding when you find the good ones. Wish I could say that about KLLM/FFE, but their troubles seem to get worse by each passing day.

that's why I never leased since I started in 96 been here almost 2 years..ps a friend of mine is a company driver for ffe in jersey started the same time started at kllm last year he made $87000 and home 2 days ever week ...js

I wouldn't recommend the lease. Lease drivers on average is bringing 1200 after expenses and taxes. That's only 200-300 more then what I make on avg. To make money on the kllm side I believe is to be on a dedicated account.
desperado75 Thanks this. -
There are some who are on the FFE side that still make money and because they are company, is a big reason why they do. If KLLM and FFE had all just company drivers, then they would go broke, but since they put all the financial burden on the driver, it keeps their costs down. Changed their lease terms now and cut the surcharge in half, as well as raise the fixed costs per week. Ours ended up being over 1100.00 a week. Looked at our old statements from FFE when the Stubbs owned it, and was blown away that our surcharge was double the amount as compared to now. Of course, we made over 275,000 dollars a year back then. Last year, we didn't even clear over 120,000. It's no wonder that they have a class action lawsuit on their hands, because when they pull the books, the lawyers are surely going to find more incriminating evidence. Wouldn't be surprised if they were involved in fraud, skimming off the top, and tax misappropriations. Now that we are back company and with a team company, we get the miles we deserve, decent pay, benefits, retirement, respect, and some pretty decent perks from a real company doing it right out here. In all though, if you and your partner are making money, then by all means, stick with what you are doing, but I have seen how things can go bad at the drop of the hat there too. Just happens and it's a shame that the real people who ruin it the most, are the ones who don't plant their butts in the drivers seat every day.

I ran into an ex kllm lease driver. Said when he was paid by percentage he was making over 1500 no problem. Once they switched to per mile that dropped. Him and a bunch of others drivers quit soon after.

I am finished with KLLM..Im turning in my Truck since it is a money pit..The Truck makes great money...And as a driver its like pennies on the dollar..You cannot depend on dispatch to give you good or desent runs to get above water..I originally got the Truck from the Mississippi yard but live in West Texas area.. Would like to return it to Lancaster,Texas..Wonder if this is possible without any hassles..
