My understanding for the why it would have to be done. Is that the limb is so badly crushed, when the load is removed from where the limb is? The person would bleed out quicker than they could patch the leaks. The person is already in pain. @Otter would have to confirm this, yet I am sure they would be polite and knock out whom ever so they wouldnt have to witness the loss.

I seen a driver driving a truck wth 1 arm, Most trucks out there now are automatics. so thiers still a good chance he can still drive.??? maybe

The weight of the machinery pinched off the femoral artery. The leg was probably neurologically dead from lack of blood flow by the time it was amputated... Might be the only thing that actually saved the guy.25(2)+2, Lepton1, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this.
