Hi gents,
I'm looking for the compression ratios of the following engines:
I'm also looking for the max governed RPM of the following engines:
- Detroit Diesel Series 60 11.1L pre-EGR
- Detroit Diesel Series 60 12.7L pre-EGR
- CAT C10

- Cummins ISX12 & X12 SCR
Any information will be appreciated.

its all availible just google the info you posted.
-
These are the ones I could not find by Google. I did find Series 60 EGR.
-
15:1 or 16.5:1
15:1 or 16.5:1
16:1
16:1
ISX15 is 18.9:1, so probably similar
2,600RPM
2,500 RPM
This is the most accurate info I can find, cummins doesn't like listing those kinds of specifications apparently. -
Thanks!
How do I know if a Series 60 has a 15.0:1 or a 16.5:1 compression ratio?
Can the DD13 safely get to 2600 RPM or is it governed to something less? The older Series 60s were governed to 2100 RPM.
Also, a CAT spec sheet says the C10 is governed to 1800 RPM but someone else says they can do 2100 RPM. Is it safe to do 2100 RPM in a C10?Last edited: Jan 21, 2017
