Yup. . . . just yup. Try switching to a daycab after a Kenny or a Pete, and you'll feel like you are a speeding yard jockey. It's just totally natural; you'll see Monday. I'm happy for ya!
Are you bobtailing back? If not, remember the tandems on your reefer can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Weight accounted for ... of course, but you get my point, I'm sure.

I inherently swing wider anyhow. I've only ever pulled tridems and spread axles so.....G13Tomcat and Boattlebot Thank this.

Currently the plans get there Monday and get set up and get some sleep and hopefully by the time I'm rested on Tuesday I'll wake up and have to go get loaded. there looking for a load for me. but we al know how wonderfull Florida can be and I don't know if the trailer it's got is a box or a reefer
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Yea you need to swing wider lol
Hopefully I'll be pulling a skateboard eventually (end goal for me) but I'll be happy with this smaller reefer outfit for atleast a few years to really get some experiance under my arseG13Tomcat Thanks this. -
You either love it or hate it. Peronally I like having eyes on hands on and control of my load rather than relying on some guy on a fork lift filling a box. They ask me how I want it loaded rather than do whatever. Flatbedders are also another community in and of itself. Can't tell you how many times I have been at a shipper and 3 or 4 of us being strangers gang banged all the loads and had them ready in no time.SidewaysBentHalo, Boattlebot and G13Tomcat Thank this.

I do like the idea of load control. I also want to be a bit more physicly active and it's kinda hard to do that driving a box.
Plus it's just cool to drive down the road with a big piece of metal (or whatever) that you secured to the deck. (I'm a little bit of a control freak lol I like doing things myself)Lonesome Thanks this. -
^^^ Look at some of the pics and posts by these big boys. It still amazes me, and I'm old!!!! I haul the occasional flats in the winter on my tanker off-time, and leme tell ya... yes, they are a breed of their own. Much respect. And yeah, lots of work... and securement is paramount!

You talking the hoods or the aero pete/kw's. Wasn't that all impressed with the handling of the 8 bag setup at all, but loved it on the t800 on dirt dragging a 4 axle coiled tubing unit up a steep lease road. The ch macks with hendrickson air ride rode smoother than the few long hoods i've been in
-
I'm talking hoods. Not sure what OP is getting Monday or Tuesday, tho.
-
Ahhh gotcha. I'd still take a hood over these aero throw away made in mexicoG13Tomcat Thanks this.
