Nope, Get to the screen that says connect device and push "Yes". Button pushes, bounces but nothing happens, no other notes.

Howdy. First time in this area. I would like to first start out by saying I have been happy for many years with my RD 720 GPS. I had a few connector issues, a few software issues, but, all in all, I would buy another 720/730 because they have worked for me. I've had Bad routing issue, but, those were me setting up the unit incorrectly.

That being said, I purchase the TND 7" tablet. From the get go, it was broken. Software many corrupt files, touch screen was shot. I sent it back, about a month later, I got it back. New touch screen (worked wonderfully), but, still had the original corrupt files. I could not use the unit. RD graciously sent me a replacement unit quickly. Again, RD Technical department was very helpful and got me a replacement unit in under a week.

Here is the problem. I finally an getting to sit down and try to use the tablet to understand how it works. I've never owned an Android device. I am very computer literate so figuring it out wasn't a problem. I have come to find that I can not download any of the Google apps. I contacted RM and they said all the apps are on the Amazon apps site. Cool.. No problem. I went over to Amazon and low and behold, I can't find any of the apps I would use on the tablet that I would use for my business like Pilot, TA, Loves apps, CAT Scale Apps. Weather.com App, Trucker Path, Canadian Border Crossing Apps (Pars/Paps), and so on.

Without blowing a gasket, is this correct?? If so, why is this with the 7" and not with 8"??

Rand McNally partnered with Amazon on the 7" and Google on the 8".

    Send me a "Conversation".

    Thanks,
