Read your post...been otr of several years... trying to find something closer to home...I live in Dallas...Tutle & Tutle sent me an app, been reading all the threads...Q: If I preferred to stay out say 5 -6 days then go home for a couple and sleep in my truck, are there any accomodations for this or do you have to either get a room some where or drive back home?? My old pickup has seen better days and driving from Dallas to ft worth area every day is not really an option till I get a better vehicle. Any advice you could give me would be helpful. Q: Tutle said they do not pay lodging for orientation, so how does that work? Thanks. Rick -

Paisano (sleep in truck)
C&J (offers housing)
Caulk Mountain (start in Fowlerton no housing)
Stevens Tanker (home daily)
Enaqua ( not sure)
Those are vac truck companies except Stevens and Caulk Mountain also have Sand trucks.
Maalt has sand jobs as well out of Dilly sound like a good company but I don't know.
I'm at Stevens do to the proximity to the house not the best paying but pays the bills, management is pretty lax.
Most of these companies are hiring where I'm at they can't find enough drivers and your hired pretty quick.
Several drivers have gone to Rich Logistics run SA to Dallas or to Laredo home nightly. -
Dillon seems to be hiring. They offered me a job about three years ago in George West but I decided to go to Midland. Anyway, a recruiter contacted me a couple weeks ago after reviewing old applications. Said they were hiring for the SAN Antonio yard.
Rodeorowdy Thanks this. -
Can you say what they are paying?
