I think the biggest part of this profession is your ability to take constructive critisisim (spelled that wrong ) because I would say 99% of the other drivers on here are in it to help and share what they have learned. What I had to do was humble myself to the fact I don't know everything and there are many other drivers and O/O out there they may come off the wrong way but are just keeping it straight. It can be hard to swallow when someone tells you your gonna fail because of statitics and if you let that get in your head and start to believe it then it will happen. I listened to these guys, took their advice and worked hard sucking it up sometimes to crappy loads, but in some cases more than not I feel 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
A few times I have lost my cool on here because of comments others make and I have no problem speaking my mind. I do it respectfully but I make my point known. I work just as hard as anyone else and follow the same regulations as others. The point is believe in yourself don't take no for an answer and work as hard as you can and you will succeed. Remember All things are possible through GOD. I wish you great success in the future and just like myself do not be afraid to ask questions. The only stupid question is the question not asked

Amen to that. I'm not far from your home base so if you ever find yourself near Wade or Stedman, NC (near 95) on a weekend (I work long hours during the week) shoot me a message and I'll buy you lunch. Thanks again and God Bless.

I have never heard of those cities. Honestly I try to avoid 95 as much as possible however it is way different down here than up north especially through the Baltimore DC area where it can be a mess. I think down here I-85 through Atlanta is the WORST stretch of highway in the area no matter what time of day it is. But if I am I would be sure to stop by. I am always looking for places to see around this beautiful state of NC

@Ryan S2016 What set-up are you running now? I have seen one guy running a wedge here in southeastern Virginia. I see him 3 times a week for the last 4 years!

I am running a 36 foot 2 car hauler I haven't been in the VA area in a while I tend to stay south in the winter. I am now seeing that may not always be the best idea. The south is drying up hopefully it will pick up in the spring and summer months.

I could be wrong, but it seems like the N/E tends to be great for business in the area of auto hauling. That's pretty cool, you running a 2500 too?

Yeah I started back in Jan 2016 with a 2013 Ram 1500 Quad Cab w/bumper pull and in November I was able to get the 2016 Ram 2500 SLT Crew and went with a goose-ball not a 5th wheel which I often think is a mistake but I can and will in the future get the B&W 5th wheel companion slider so I can be open to other options. A driver the other day asked me why I don't put a winch on the trailer so I could do INOPS. First off I don't want the headaches of inops because they can be anything from no start to to wheels most times descriptions can be unclear about the extent of the inop. Second I don't think running a winch cable under the frame of the trailer to the back and pulling the car off is a great idea. That's how the driver told me he did it he ran the cable from the front of his wedge under the frame to the back of the trailer and pulled the cars off. I ran light and heavy wreckers for 12 years and I know that doing it like this is not only dangerous but can be costly and just plain dumb. I will leave the inops for the wrecker guys. I do however on occasion take Co-Part because they will load and if the client agrees to help off-load and the money is right I consider it.
Did a favor for a dealer in Knoxville once said he really needed the car that day, from Co-Part in Snellville GA and the pay was ok. Well when I got there he wanted to try and tinker with the battery and jump it and all this other stuff. I told him listen I am on a clock you agreed to assist with rolling it off so lets roll it off. You can tinker with the car after you pay me and on your time. So yeah Inops are not for me. Sorry for going off the subject there actually don't know how that even got started
