Following this thread as I am in a similar situation. Slid on ice, banged into a ditch. Empty trailer. Terminated for loss of control. Hope the job search is going well. I'll be starting my search tomorrow

What you need to realize though, is that in most instances, it is not the companies themselves, but the insurance companies.
If you have a fairly clean record, some companies would give you a second look. The insurance companies, don't care about your clean record in the past, all they care about is what you did.
To them a roll over puts you into a higher risk category. They look at the probability that if you did it once, there is a mathematical probability that you will have another accident in the future.
That's all they look at when figuring insurance costs, rates, coverage, etc..
