I'd like to start this post to let others vent on what a bad product road king shocks are. I've had mine 3 years and there totally shot. $2000 down the hole. They all leak and even the rubber is cracked. Just don't want others to waste their money thinking these shocks outlast factory like I did. PS Road King Shocks bought out silver road shocks so don't think these are a better alternative. Please tell your story so others don't throw away good money. Safe Trucking

We all knew this. Anyone that spends $2000 on shocks are a idiot. Unless they have life time warranty. Transferable to another truck then just maybe.
shatteredsquare, DSK333 and TripleSix Thank this. -
Seems to me these shocks are rebuildable .. and no one is an idiot for trying something new .
Igor2009s8, Bean Jr., jsnell and 3 others Thank this. -
bzinger Thanks this.

bringer your wrong I'm and idiot. I read the bad reviews and thought it was the exception not the norm. I'm ok with blowing the money. I just hate to see an individual getting rich off these shocks. Just think they don't make the shocks they just contract them out. He doesn't answer the phone he has someone else do it. All he does is go to truck shows and sell a ridiculously overpriced product that's no longer lasting than factory shocks. They only have a one year warranty so all they can do is sell you replacement for $200 plus dollars per shock. I wasted good money my family could have used. We buy better products because we think we get what we pay for. When a company our Lonnie is ripping people off its time for him to get out of the shock business. The only way that happens is when owner operators spread the word and there's plenty of stories like mine

Alright then, this begs the question, "What are the best brand of shocks to buy?"
I need new shocks, with a fair amount of off road in my mix of driving. -
How was the shock performance over the 3 years i may buy some. Rebuilds every 3 years isnt bad.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I was never happy with them since day one. Noticed no difference from the factory shocks I took off. As far as when they started to go was year two. By year three SORRY no warranty. I feel for those that want to believe but Santa Claus ain't real is just old dependable mom and dad. And wearing out completely at 3 years is a joke. Are you married to his sister??
