Yea there used to be visa run companies that would load up the bus or mini van. Me, I just would go to Hua Hin and go there. The wife and I would stay for a night or two. Mini holiday away from the family.lol

I don't get why immigrants don't get citizenship then they wouldn't have to worry about deportation.

Getting citizenship is a little bit harder than just applying for it. It takes years and years. Also most migrant workers are the children of migrant workers and are basically illiterate. They couldn't find out the proper way to come to America if they wanted to. And even if they could with the skills they have they would be waaaay down the list for entry.

The source of the illegal immigration problem is that American businesses are offering jobs that suck by American standards but are incredible compared to work available in Honduras/Guatemala/etc. They are actively recruiting these people for all intents and purposes. Think back to the pickers you've seen at any farm you've ever picked up a load from. Did they actually look legal to you? Not a chance.

I'm generally a pretty conservative person, but on the border I'm fairly certain a wall won't do a lot of good. There's already a wall in most of the areas where the most illegals cross, and where the wall exists they seem to use ladders and tunnels to circumvent it. We DO need to beef up border security I just don't think a wall is probably the most effective way to go about it.

Look at the bright side; the wall and the 2 pipelines creates lots of jobs for flatbedders.

Like the woman in New York City said a few years ago when Willie Nelson was raising money for farmers; "The farmers can go to the grocery store like the rest of us."
