    A. I have no choice. B. You had no choice. C. I'm not going to ignore someone in a position of power who lies more than he tells the truth.

I'll leave that to those who voted him in and have no interest in keeping him accountable.

Only thing I hate about Trump is his huge ego otherwise I can't wait to see what he does the first 100 days.

When Obama finally passed the ACA I was pissed. He didn't keep his promise of a public option, which I think defeated most of the bill. That's not to say the ACA hasn't had some good things. Like the previous conditions issue. Allowing college age kids to remain on their parents health care for a little longer. And a few other parts. Even Reps like some of it.

But the fact remained that in the end, he didn't do what he said he was going to to and many Dems weren't happy about it.

So far, and I know it's only been 6 days, but so far Reps don't seem to give a flying %&$% that he lied to them for two years during the run to office and hes' still doing it. That's what worries me. The people who put him there don't care that he's not even trying to live up to his promises.

Yeah if you want to talk serious problems healthcare is the mastodon in the corner. We spend literally double what Europeans pay (in $ terms) for health care and we live 1-4 years less. We spend 18% of GDP on healthcare and the nearest competitor, Germany, spends 12%. 6% of ~17T dollars is a LOT of money. It's roughly 1T a year in money spent that generates no tangible benefit for anyone who doesn't work in medicine.

I was also extremely unhappy with Obamacare because it did nothing about the real cause of the problem (cost) and instead opted to put a fairly pitiful bandaid on a gaping wound. In fact if I think back on the single thing I'm most angry at Obama about I think it's simply that he had 60 votes in the senate, control of the house of reps, and he couldn't get something real done about healthcare.

That's certainly true. You'd better take it slow on that though... There aren't enough citizen farm hands to fill the needs right now. Alabama cracked down on illegals a couple of years ago and it went really badly for local ag.

To heck with slow, the illegals wouldn't exist if they couldn't get a job, and send money back home.......it would be interesting to know how much money/cash is sent out of our economy by the illegals sending money south......slow & methodical is a bureaucrats response to doing things......tear the bandage off and let's get to the next issue we need to solve.

You get that farm labor is at least as skill intensive as anything anyone in this thread does right? It's a common misconception that immigrants mostly come here to take unskilled jobs... They show up here to work skilled construction trades and farming jobs. Those farming jobs are hard work that requires a functioning brain. Very similar to driving a truck actually.

Yeah you see some immigrants working as dishwashers but they are the absolute bottom of the ladder for immigrants. Most of them come here to make 15+ an hour working real jobs. That's how they have enough money to live and send home.
