Ah. Well, I'm company and as far as I know, unless I see it noted that it's a service failure or see a note not to call the customer.... I'm rolling in lol
Edit: I've also had my dbl tell me to go into Stuart's draft target two days early. And to Joliet amazon five hours early.

Wait, CS actually gives you appointment times? If so, does the customer know about these "appointments"? Lol
mindes, Friday, 91B20H8 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wouldn't go to Amazon early.......but there's a real cool truckstop right across the street and also a Pilot across the street as well.
-
To be fair, that load I had was amazon to amazon. Joliet to Joliet. D/h to d/h.
Essentially they paid me $35 in short haul to drive a trailer across the street. It was pretty greatSingingWolf and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
That is hilarious. Does Amazon not employ yard jockeys?
-
Oh there were 3 of them not doing anything in there. The one across the street had a bunch but they were actually working. I asked the girl in shipping and she said because it was a DC to DC move, they had to have a carrier do it. Amazon policy. Even though it's literally across the street.
Circle is where I picked it up. And that's the route I took to where I dropped it.
jakecat22, mindes, SingingWolf and 2 others Thank this. -
Wait....What???
"Service failures" and "fines" for early delivery, EVEN if it's no problem whatsoever for the consignee???
Who's the idiot that came up with that?Home_on_wheels and SingingWolf Thank this. -
Some of it I can understand. On time delivery for amazon or Walmart or target is a thing. Early delivery can also be a problem if they end up with too much inventory cause people show up too early. Or (from what I read in Schneider Times or whatever our newsletter is) "if Walmart is planning to put a tv on sale next week but the load of tvs shows up at the store a week early and they sell before the sale can begin it could be a problem". Sounds like an awesome problem to me. Stuff selling st full price. And considering that it would have to go through the DC and get loaded on a storebound truck first.. I don't know.
What I don't understand is how I was told that the load I'm picking up tomorrow is a target load and because of that it can't be loaded early whether the product is ready or not. Told by sni, not the shipper. I'm gonna check with them in the morning though because the guy that told me that then proceeded to tell me that it's good because I can get a 24hr reset in before pickup. Yeah I didn't mistype that number.SingingWolf and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
Nothing that Google can't cure...lol
-
hey.....he's an idea......when the driver shows up 2 days early, tell him "no", come back in 2 days. Problem solved. Man, it's not like they're launching the space shuttle for Pete's sake.....TennMan, SingingWolf and Friday Thank this.
