That should be interesting. Without the financial support of the other 49 states I can't imagine California being self-sufficient

 

Trump could put an excise tax on the water and power they import...and if they don't like it, cut them off from the western power grid and shut down the viaducts. Might take them 1/2 a day before they'd be begging to be let back in.

California as a separate country would have been the sixth largest economy in the world last year, ahead of France ($2.42 trillion) and India ($2.09 trillion) and not too far behind No. 5 U.K. at $2.85 trillion (2015)


So the othet 49 states are supporting California. The things you learn!!

from what I understand 30% of the country's welfare recipients live in California

 

...not to mention, Calif---ya based carriers would be subject to the same cabotage laws as the Mexican and Canadian carriers operating in the US, too.

 

I was thinking we could give Quebec to the First Nations as compensation for taking their land. Get 2 birds stoned at once.
