This suddenly makes me worry since I'll be on a dedicated Walmart account. Though I can't see them having the delivery dates too screwed up on reefer.

no dude.......Walmart loads the trailers and Walmart knows they're on the way. You have no worries here. It's a good gig......honest.

I think I'm more worried about passing my tests in 2 weeks and making it through orientation if I'm being honest. I think the job itself will be easy enough to deal with. It's just the parts where I'm being judged and scored that worries me. Especially alley dock for my CDL which I mentioned in my thread. If anything at this point is going to fail me it is that.

show up every day with a smile on your face and a song in your heart and a determination to succeed, and you likely will. Very few people fail at things they honestly want.

Do them backs good. There's a dedicated Walmart account 15 miles from my house and I've been thinking about it..... wanna know if it's worth it.

Take what I give with a grain of salt. 1. I'm gonna be a brand new driver. 2.Each account is different. Even the two accounts in Ohio are different. One is 5 on 2 off (Same 2 off every week) the other, the one I'm on is 6 on 2 off. Also the pay is different between them. There has also been speculation that the one is mostly drop and hook, while the one I'm going to be on is primarily live load/unload. Your mileage may vary.

Its because not all employees no what's in contracts ,in the example I gave even when ask by the guard why I was sitting at the top of the driveway for ten minutes I explained it to him and he had no clue.

Some customers don't want extra trailers hogging up space on the yard in addition to not wanting that ( those) loads unloaded early and taking up space in the warehouse long before they're ready to move it.

I'm sure there's other reasons too.
Consignees do have a problem with it.
Gate guards, yrd jockies dock workers generally don't have a clue.
And again the fine is sometimes to the shipper and sometimes to the carrier.

Yea I know it seems nuts and I agree 100%

Wintersville or Washington courthouse? You'll hardly ever see drop and hook out of court house private fleet will run most of dry and you will run reefer at night with multiple stop loads. Wintersville no private fleet domicile there so you might run some dry.
