Truck Stops

Truck stops with added amentities like that are few and far between if they even exist.Truck stops are only good for the basics,sleep,eat,laundry and shower.

The only truck stop I've seen that had an exercise room was Iowa 80. Of course, it's not really on my list of things to look for either, so it could be a common thing and I just don't know it.

 

F that dude. Get a 24 or 32kg kettlebell if you need to go otr. This for strength and do some jogging on your off duty. This plus diet, water, and go flatbed and you'll look like an NFL player in a few months.

 

I have seen 3 or 4 truck stops along i5 that have exercise rooms, but have never gotten around to looking in them.

I think some you have to pay for, at least one said to swipe your loyalty card, and I had planned to just to see it, and see if it was free with the card, but I forgot lol
(I don't remember which one that was either.)

 

I don't really frequent Truck stops as I'm a Line Haul Driver.

 

TA has fitness rooms at a lot of their locations. Not much to them, stationary bike and or treadmill. No free weights and I'm not sure all locations have the stationary weight rack that you can do flat bench, curls, triceps and lats. I'm sure you know the style of rack I'm talking about. I'm not sure if petro has any even though they are one in the same. Ta/Petro

 

Me too. I cruise by to grab a soda but I'm back at it after. I'm not an LTL guy but I pull double tanks so not much parking in a spot for me. Still practicing tho ... I can back em up straight about 50 feet before a pull-up. I can and have gotten them into a spot with 2-3 pull-ups but it was in the middle of the night and most otr (not all) are afraid of the dark so I got no compliments

 

Ya can't say as the last time I wondered around a TS looking for amenities. I swing in and grab a drink or two, Squirt the dirt and hit the road.
