What does Water Pump B / G mean?

    Hello guys
    Please explain me, what does B / G mean in Water Pump B / G , Power Steering B / G , air compressor B / G..
    P.S -- It's written in CDL SKILLS TEST SCORE SHEET

    I think it is asking whether it is belt driven or gear driven.

    For what state?

    I know in Michigan a “G” means it’s a “Gimme”. It is used when the vehicle you are using for the test is not equipotent with the item that is on the check sheet so they just give you that one.

    I have no idea what a “B” would be. Possibly “Broken”?

    During the pre trip inspection you're supposed to tell the examiner if the water pump on your truck is belt or gear driven.

    Ya, pretty sure Ryan423 and A_C_Cooper have it correct.

    I never did a CDL test as I was grandfathered in. My nephew took the test last year so that is how I know that Michigan has a gimmie comment for some items.

    OP, not sure why it really matters what's on the examiners form, just know the information and you will be fine.
