Yeah...years ago, while out in Fontana, i met a driver who did an 8 wheel burnout with his old FLD Classic. I wanted something similar.
Problem is, you keep running up to weak links. Reliability goes. And with the money not being the same as it was in 2008....

I tell you, I wouldn't buy a truck that someone else built.

PeteyFixAll, Ruthless, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.

My employer and I don't like each other. And the industry is chocked full of dime droppers. If you have excellent experience and a clean record you can go anywhere.
These companies know this. Some companies will try to ruin your record to prevent you from going to a competitor.

In our line of work, they pay you for what you know. In an iinterview, they want to know the biggest, tallest, longest, heaviest, most expensive load youve pulled. If your previous employer wont verify your eexperience, they can screw you. I have 10 years of permits. I have pics and video. I dont need them to verify.

A few years back, I used run with some guys that were on FB. We would go to a bar, and they would post about it. Dimes would drop and the next morning, I would get called for a random.

"How do you know they were posting on FB, Six?"

Because I would have someone else text me about whats on FB.

    "Why dont you quit?"

Economy has been rotten for quite a few years. I'm at the top here. Dont want to start over in a bad economy.

Yes, a 20,000 axle with one box which kw will only rate the 20,000 axle at 18,000 even though it is a 20,000 axle. The reason for twin steer boxes is that one box doesn't have enough hydraulic power to turn an axle with that kind of weight. Try to turn a 12,000 axle when you have about 15,000 on it at a standstill. You can't. Once you are moving it will steer. Another reason is the hydraulic system of one steer box will generate to much heat from being over worked shortening component life.

Good evening. Regarding the 2250lb torque tranny 22918 (I think this is the number), I was told by someone at Eaton some time ago, the tranny is basically the same, but, all of the inner parts are more stout to handle the extra torque. I think the case is the same. I don't remember if that person was a sales person or tech support. Not sure if he was correct.. If someone know different, I would be happy to know.

Also, can all rear ends be upgraded to any gear. Example DarkhorseEnterprises has a ratio of 3.08 or 3.36. Can his axles be upgraded to 3.70 or 3.9 or 4.11 if he chooses to??

    Thank you..
